Aims & Objectives

The basic concept to establish this private, non-commercial,-profitable, non-political, non-government, non-sectarian social welfare organization, is the following,

i) To promote tourism in Pakistan.

ii) To protect and promote the interests of all concerns licensed tour operators Department of Tourism, Government of Pakistan and handling or conducting individual or group tour packages with in Pakistan.

iii) To established and maintain good relationship with, as well as render any assistance, information or advice to the Government of Pakistan, particularly the Federal and Provincial Ministries of Tourism, and other related Federal of Provincial Government or semi-Government institutions dealing with Tourism or Tourism related issues, and to negotiate or enter into agreements with the Federal or Provincial Governments and their tourism-related institutions, in order to protect and secure the best interest of the Members.

iv) To establish and maintain good relationship with, as well as render any assistance, information or advice to the associations or concerns supplying ancillary services to the Members, such as hoteliers, transporters, etc. and to negotiate agreements with these associations and or concerns in order to protect and secure the best interest of the Members.

v) To establish a code of conduct and ethics to enable the Company to enforce discipline among the Members and suppliers of ancillary, services, e.g. transporters, handicraft shops, etc.

vi) To promote education and training in the field of Tourism, and to assist study and research in the field of tourism by, but not limited to, providing scholarships and instituting chairs and fellowships in Pakistan educational institutions.

vii) To undertake special inquiries and initiate action for securing the redress of legitimate grievances of the Members of the Company will To resolve controversies amongst the Members of the association.

ix) To arbitrate in the settlement of disputes arising out of commercial transactions between Members, or Members and third parties if the parties involved agree to abide by the decisions of the Arbitrators appointed by the Company.

x) To establish and maintain an information bureau whose purpose will be to collect, print or publish, or otherwise disseminate statistical or other data and information for the promotion of the objects of the Company.

xi) To establish, promote or assist in establishing or promoting and subscribe to or become a Member of any other association or club whose objects are similar or in part similar to the objects of the Company or the establishment or promotion of which may be beneficial to the Company.

xii) To arrange and convene seminars, lectures, meetings, conferences, etc., on subjects involving the interests of the Members of the Company.

xiii) To affiliate with any national or international trade organization having objects and aims altogether or in part similar to those of this Company for the purpose of securing the aims and objects of the Company.

xiv) To open accounts with Banks and to draw, make,. Accept, endorse, execute issue, negotiate and discount cheques, promissory notes, Bills of Exchange, Bills of Landing, warrants deposit notes debentures and other negotiable instruments and securities.

xv) To invest the surplus money of the Company not immediately required for the activities of the Company upon such securities and in such manner as may from time to time be determined but not to act as an investment Company.

xvi) To rise, borrow money from time to time if so required for any of the purposes of the Company by receiving advances of any, sums of money with or without security upon such terms, as the Executive Committee May deem, expedient.

xvii) To frame bye-laws, rules and regulations for the conduct of the Members, office-bears and officers of the Company in the carrying out of the various objects of the Company.

xviii) To bring suits and or actions either in civil, criminal, revenue or other courts in the name of Company under the signature of the Chairman or Secretary, or to defend any action against the Company. ”

xix) To carry out such other lawful functions as may be incidental or conducive to the above aims and objects.

xx) To defend any proceeding in which the general interest of the Company is involved and to work generally for the welfare of the Members of the Company.

xxi) And, generally, to do all that may be necessary directly or indirectly for the realization of the, above aims and objects of the Company.

IV). The liability of the Members is limited.

V). Every Member of the Company undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Company in the event of it being wound up while he is a Member, or within one year afterwards, for the payment of the debts or liabilities of the Company contracted before he ceases to be a Member, and the costs and charges of and expenses of winding up and for adjustment of the rights of the contributories among themselves, such amount as may be required not exceeding one thousand rupees.
